What Does Plumbing Rough-In Include?

Plumbing rough-in is essentially the process where you build the framework for the plumbing, without actually fully completing the job. This can be a helpful installation method when a new home or structure is being built, and multiple different aspects of the home need to be worked on first. 
The plumbing rough-in process includes:
  • the plumbing lines for plumbing pipes, duct work, electrical conduit, etc.
  • installs pipes in the walls and floors that lead to the sinks, bath, toilets, etc.
  • no fixtures are installed yet (no sinks, faucets, etc.)

What Are the Times & Costs of Plumbing Rough-In?

The amount of time it takes to plumbing rough-in a new home or building depends on a variety of factors. This includes the size of the structure, number of individuals working on the job, etc. The standard amount of time the process takes should be about 3-5 days, but this can be elongated if any unforeseen troubles arise. This process should cost about $7,000 to $15,000, all depending on the size of your home or building and number of fixtures.
